An Act to Require That Informed Consent for Abortion Include Information on Perinatal Hospice

Failed·6/10/25
Tpdf Text

Requires informed consent for abortion to include information on perinatal hospice for fetuses with life-limiting conditions.

This bill mandates that health care professionals inform pregnant women, whose fetuses have been diagnosed with life-limiting conditions, about perinatal hospice services as an alternative to abortion. The information must be provided at least 24 hours before the abortion, both orally and in writing, and include a list of available perinatal hospice services providers. If the woman declines these services and chooses to proceed with the abortion, she must certify this decision in writing.
