Mobile home park owners must notify tenants and the state of intent to sell and facilitate relocation.
This bill requires mobile home park owners to provide written notice to tenants and the Maine State Housing Authority of their intent to sell the park. Owners must also facilitate tenant relocation within a 25-mile radius at their expense. Groups of mobile home owners or associations have the right of first refusal to purchase the park, provided at least 51% of occupied mobile homes are represented. The owner must consider offers from these groups before accepting other offers.
