This bill reinstates the Property Tax Stabilization Program, allowing eligible individuals to maintain their property tax at a stabilized amount for up to $900,000 of assessed value on their homestead. It applies to property tax years beginning on or after April 1, 2026. Eligible individuals can stabilize the tax on only one homestead per tax year. Municipalities can recover the cost of administering the program from the state.
