Maine LD1086 allows nonprofit organizations to conduct raffles and Internet raffles with prizes valued at $2,500 or less without needing to register with the Gambling Control Unit. The bill exempts these organizations from the registration requirement, provided the total prize value does not exceed $2,500. Nonprofits must ensure that the raffles are not marketed to individuals under a certain age and cannot allow such individuals to purchase tickets.
