LD1072

Amends Land for Maine's Future program to allow option to purchase at agricultural value.

The bill amends the Land for Maine's Future program by defining "interest in property" to include both fee and less-than-fee simple interest for purposes of an option to purchase at agricultural value. It allows a fee owner of an interest in the real property, a qualified holder of the benefit of the option, the municipality in which the real property is located, or the Attorney General to intervene in an option to purchase at agricultural value.
