Maine LD1057 resolves to aid municipalities, animal control officers, and other parties in complying with electronic dog licensing requirements. The resolve prohibits the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry from requiring municipalities participating in the electronic dog licensing project to implement a specific data management platform. It allows these municipalities to use alternative methods for issuing dog licenses until one year following the effective date of this section.
