This resolution proposes to amend the Constitution of Maine to establish the State Auditor as a constitutional officer. The amendment would require the State Auditor to be chosen quadrennially by joint ballot of the Senators and Representatives in convention. If approved by voters, the amendment would become part of the Maine Constitution.
