Extends the maximum term of a medical cannabis written certification from one year to two years.
This bill amends the Maine Revised Statutes to increase the maximum term for a medical cannabis written certification from one year to two years. The change allows a qualifying patient's medical provider to determine the term, which must be included in the written certification and cannot exceed two years. This adjustment aims to provide patients with longer-term access to medical cannabis as recommended by their healthcare providers.
