This bill mandates that housing assistance does not reduce the maximum assistance level for other basic necessities, ensuring adequate support for all essential needs. It extends the presumptive eligibility period for general assistance for individuals in emergency homeless shelters from days to 180 days. Additionally, it increases state reimbursement for general assistance costs from 70% to 90% for municipalities and homeless individuals. After 180 days, eligibility must be redetermined, and no other municipality can be designated as the municipality of responsibility during this period.
