Expands Maine's Good Samaritan laws to exclude immunity for certain drug-related crimes.
This bill amends Maine's Good Samaritan laws to exclude immunity for individuals providing drug-related medical assistance in cases involving possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, and unlawfully furnishing scheduled drugs. These additions ensure that individuals who commit these specific crimes while providing assistance cannot claim immunity under Maine's Good Samaritan laws.
