Adds political affiliation as a protected class under the Maine Human Rights Act.
The bill amends the Maine Human Rights Act to include political affiliation as a protected class, prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing, education, credit, and public accommodations based on political affiliation. It also corrects a repealed cross-reference in the statute. This change ensures that individuals cannot be discriminated against in various aspects of life due to their political beliefs or affiliations.
