Louisiana SB87 amends the definition of "commercial sexual activity" to include any sexual act, not just lewd or lascivious acts, when anything of value has been given, promised, or received. This change applies to both human trafficking and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. The new definition also includes the production or transmission of child sexual abuse materials or pornography. This change aims to provide a consistent definition across related statutes. Effective August 1, 2026.
