Re-creates Louisiana Economic Development and its statutory entities, effective June 30, 2026.

Louisiana SB79 re-creates the Louisiana Economic Development and its statutory entities, effective June 30, 2026. The bill supersedes the sunset law provisions that would have terminated these entities. The re-creation of these entities is in accordance with the provisions of Part XII of Chapter 1 of Title 49 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950. The termination date for all statutory authority for the existence of these entities is set for July 1, 2031, unless the department is re-created prior to that date.
