Louisiana SB52 requires the Department of Children and Family Services to report to the Louisiana Department of Health within 72 hours when a child is placed in their custody. The Department of Health must assess and adjust benefits if a child is included in another household receiving benefits. If a child is returned to their parent's custody before age 18, the Department of Children and Family Services must report this to the Department of Health.
