Louisiana SB436 revises aviation fuel tax estimates and reporting requirements.
Louisiana SB436 amends the calculation and reporting of aviation fuel tax estimates. The bill requires the Department of Revenue to annually estimate revenue from aviation fuel taxes, using data from the Energy Information Administration or the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. It removes the requirement for the secretary of the Department of Revenue to estimate the revenue and instead mandates the Department of Transportation, office of multimodal commerce, to develop the annual estimate.
