Louisiana SB430 allows the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to levy an additional hotel occupancy tax.
Louisiana SB430 amends existing law to authorize the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to levy an additional hotel occupancy tax. The tax will be one and one-half percent of the rent or fee charged for hotel, motel, or camping facility occupancy. Half of the tax revenue will support the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, another half will support the Independence Bowl Foundation, and the remaining half will support the Ark-La-Tex Regional Air Service Alliance. The tax authority can be renewed by voter approval in Caddo and Bossier parishes.
