Louisiana SB370 retains the existing duties of the State Licensing Board for Contractors, including granting licenses, holding hearings, and suspending or revoking licenses. It adds that the board is authorized to review all substandard construction practices within the state and hold hearings for the purpose of suspending and revoking any license for substandard construction practices in violation of present law. This bill aims to ensure higher standards in construction practices by allowing the board to take action against substandard practices. Effective August 1, 2026.
