Louisiana SB369 sets prescription drug pricing limits for state-sponsored insurance plans.

Louisiana SB369 establishes that pharmaceutical manufacturers cannot charge more for drugs in state-sponsored insurance plans than the price Medicare pays. It also prohibits insurers and pharmacy benefit managers from reimbursing for drugs at less than the Medicare price. The commissioner is tasked with enforcing these provisions and creating necessary rules and regulations. The law takes effect on January 1, 2027.
