Louisiana SB35 creates a crime for disturbing the peace at a place of religious worship.

Louisiana SB35 creates the crime of disturbing the peace at a place of religious worship. It prohibits petitioning, picketing, demonstrating, protesting, or assembling within 50 feet of a place of worship in a manner that disrupts, threatens to disrupt, intimidates, harasses, or interferes with lawful religious activities. Offenders face a $500 fine and 15 days in jail, without probation or suspension of sentence. Each day of violation counts as a separate offense.
