Louisiana SB335 authorizes additional funding for legislative assistants for legislators representing four or more parishes.
Louisiana SB335 amends existing law to authorize additional funding for legislative assistants for legislators representing four or more parishes. The bill retains the current salary schedule for legislative assistants but provides an additional allocation for each parish in excess of three parishes in the legislative district. This additional allocation is not to be considered as an increase in or used to calculate the base salary of legislative assistants. The Legislative Budgetary Control Council determines the additional amount per year for each parish in excess of three parishes.
