Louisiana SB314 amends community psychiatric support and treatment (CPST) services to allow expired certifications to be renewed for CPST extension.

Louisiana SB314 amends existing law to allow certified social workers whose certifications expired in 2025 to be renewed, enabling them to proceed with CPST extension requests. This Act amends R.S. 37:2724(B)(2)(a) to provide for a limited scope certified social worker license to offer CPST services. The Act also specifies that the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners must renew the certification of any certified social worker whose certification expired in 2025.
