Louisiana SB309 regulates prices for driving courses by the Department of Public Safety.

Louisiana SB309 amends existing law to allow the Office of Motor Vehicles to establish rules and regulations for the terms, manner, price, and location of instruction and testing for driving courses. These rules are subject to oversight by the House and Senate committees on transportation, highways, and public works. The bill also amends the requirements for private training and driving instructor schools, including the pricing of driving courses. Effective August 1, 2026.
