Louisiana SB302 amends the First Judicial District Court's election structure, designating one judgeship as at-large.
Louisiana SB302 modifies the First Judicial District Court's election sections and introduces an at-large judgeship. The bill retains the current division assignments to three election sections but designates Division F as an at-large position. This change takes effect if the current judge vacates the seat due to death, resignation, retirement, or non-reelection. The bill also specifies the precincts for each election section and maintains the total number of judges at eleven.
