Louisiana SB268 enacts R.S. 33:4081.2, allowing municipalities to replace lead service lines. Municipalities must provide owners and residents with at least seven days' notice before entering a property, unless in an emergency. Notice must include the replacement date, time, likely disruption extent, supplementary water locations, and remedies if access is denied. After completion, the municipality must send a letter by certified mail with the replacement time and work summary. Effective August 1, 2026.
