SB210

Louisiana SB210 increases the number of election commissioners for closed party primaries.

Louisiana SB210 amends the state's election laws to increase the number of election commissioners for closed party primaries. Specifically, it mandates four commissioners for precincts with more than 300 active registered voters and three commissioners for precincts with 300 or fewer active registered voters. This change applies to primary and general elections for party primary offices and fall general elections held on the sixth Saturday after the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of a congressional election year. The amendment takes effect on August 1, 2026.
