Louisiana SB178 clarifies the role of the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center in administering agricultural extension and research.

Louisiana SB178 amends existing law to clarify that the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center must administer agricultural extension and research programs throughout the state. The bill also specifies that the Center is responsible for conducting river water research and agricultural youth development and education programs, including FFA and 4-H. The changes are set to take effect on August 1, 2026.
