Louisiana SB126 amends existing law to clarify that noncertified prescribed burn managers must notify the Office of Forestry of the burn's location, date, and time before conducting it. The bill also explicitly states that the commissioner of agriculture and forestry can create rules and regulations for these activities under the Administrative Procedure Act. This change is set to take effect on August 1, 2026.
