Louisiana SB119 allows internet purchase of lottery tickets, exempts it from gambling laws.

Louisiana SB119 amends state law to permit the purchase of lottery tickets through the internet. It exempts such purchases from state gambling laws, including those prohibiting gambling and gambling by computer. The Louisiana Lottery Corporation's board is authorized to adopt rules for internet ticket purchases, including age and location verification methods. The law takes effect August 1, 2026.
