Establishes a task force to study municipal utility systems in Louisiana.

The Louisiana Energy and Power Association Municipal Utility Task Force is created to study the operations, affordability, governance, infrastructure, and consumer impacts of municipal electric utility systems participating in LEPA. The task force will examine utility rate structures, fuel adjustment charges, governance structures, infrastructure costs, financial sustainability, and consumer impacts. It will provide recommendations to improve accountability, transparency, efficiency, and affordability for Louisiana ratepayers. The task force will submit a report by February 1, 2027.
