H.R.196

Establishes a special study committee to assess fallen trees' impact on Louisiana properties and insurance.

Louisiana HR196 creates a special study committee to evaluate the effects of fallen trees on residential properties, property values, and the insurance market. The committee will gather input from stakeholders, including homeowners, insurance agents, and local officials, and will focus on areas most affected by tree damage. The committee aims to recommend voluntary measures to mitigate risks and stabilize the insurance market without imposing new regulations or costs on the insurance industry.
