HB988

Louisiana HB988 modifies the fee distribution for special prestige license plates for current and retired legislators.

Louisiana HB988 changes the fee structure for special prestige license plates for current and retired legislators. It requires an annual royalty fee of $25, in addition to the standard motor vehicle license tax and a handling fee of $3.50 for each plate. The annual royalty fee will be forwarded to the Division of Administration and used for the restoration efforts of the Pentagon Barracks. The bill also mandates rules for the transfer and disposition of the license plates upon the death of the recipient and the design of the plate.
