HB929

Louisiana HB929 establishes the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Glass Law, prohibiting unfair trade practices in motor vehicle glass repair and replacement.

Louisiana HB929 creates the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Glass Law, which outlines specific prohibitions for motor vehicle glass repair shops and individuals involved in insurance claim solicitation. The law classifies certain behaviors as unfair or deceptive insurance trade practices. It mandates that repair shops provide written estimates and receipts, prohibits offering incentives for claims, and requires disclosure of advanced driver assistance system calibration. Violation of these provisions subjects the repair shop to penalties for unfair trade practices.
