Louisiana HB922 prohibits electric public utilities from increasing household rates as a result of new electric demand from data centers. The Public Service Commission must ensure that all costs associated with new electric demand for data centers are allocated solely to the data center customers through special contracts, tariffs, or rate classes. The commission must also deny any rate adjustment, tariff change, or certificate of public convenience and necessity that would result in household customers bearing any portion of these costs.
