Complete·6/9/26

Louisiana HB893 modifies the procurement process for materials and supplies by the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.

HB893 amends the procurement process for materials and supplies by the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board. It raises the threshold for advertised and contracted purchases from $10,000 to $30,000. For purchases between $10,000 and $30,000, at least three quotes must be obtained via telephone, facsimile, email, or other electronic means. In emergencies, purchases up to $30,000 can be made with written consent from the board president or the mayor. The bill also repeals a section that previously allowed purchases up to $60,000 without advertisement.
