Louisiana HB87 amends the law to increase the maximum per diem for members of the board of commissioners of Livingston Parish Gas Utility District No. 1 from $75 to $125. The bill retains the current structure of the board, including the prohibition on salaries for board members. Board members can still receive a per diem for each meeting attended, up to 50 meetings per year, and for each day devoted to the business of the district. The board can also fix reasonable additional compensation for members who serve as secretary, treasurer, or secretary-treasurer.
