HB862

Allows not-for-profit wildlife rehabilitation organizations to use animals for promotional purposes.

Louisiana HB862 amends the Wildlife Rehabilitation Program to allow not-for-profit organizations dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation to use animals in promotional activities. This includes advertising or promoting their organization through photographs or videos of the animals, aiming to solicit donations, gifts, or grants. The bill prohibits the exploitation of wildlife, including for commercial purposes or pet trade, and mandates the seizure of wildlife and revocation of permits for such activities.
