Louisiana HB821 establishes the Louisiana Center for Safe Schools within the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice. The center will identify and prioritize resources to improve safety in schools, collect and disseminate information on safety needs, training standards, and funding programs, develop a comprehensive statewide school safety framework, assist schools in developing crisis management and emergency response plans, and coordinate with the Department of Education to ensure awareness of safety resources.
