Establishes an Animal Rehabilitation Program within the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

Louisiana HB785 creates an Animal Rehabilitation Program within the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. This program will house, treat, and care for injured or orphaned indigenous animals with the goal of releasing healthy animals back into the wild. The commissioner will collaborate with the state veterinarian to establish rules and procedures for the program.
