HB737 amends Louisiana law to remove the requirement for students to present evidence of immunization against meningococcal disease as a condition of school entry. The bill repeals existing provisions that mandated such evidence for entry into sixth grade and 11th grade and for course registration at postsecondary education institutions. However, it retains the requirement for schools to provide information to students about meningococcal disease and the vaccine. The bill also modifies the schedule of vaccine-preventable diseases to exclude meningococcal disease.
