Louisiana legislator district signs on highways and roads in the state

Louisiana HB693 creates legislator district signs on highways and roads in the state. The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) can regulate the content, composition, placement, erection, and maintenance of these signs or contract with a qualified third party. The DOTD can use federal funds for these signs. The DOTD must establish fees and rules for implementation, including contracting with third parties. The signs are the state's property, and fees collected are considered self-generated revenues for the DOTD.
