Louisiana HB664 amends existing law to increase the maximum fine for violations of parish ordinances from $500 to $1,500. The bill retains the current maximum penalty of 30 days in parish jail for such violations. Additionally, it allows for a maximum of one hundred hours of community service to be imposed in addition to, or in lieu of, any penalty. This change applies to all parish ordinances unless otherwise specified.
