Louisiana HB644 prohibits schools from participating in interscholastic athletic associations that lack specific student eligibility procedures.

Louisiana HB644 prohibits public and nonpublic schools from being members of, or participating in competitions sponsored by, any intrastate interscholastic extracurricular athletic associations or organizations that do not provide for certain student eligibility procedures. These procedures include allowing students who have not previously been enrolled in any member school to participate without delay upon enrollment, and permitting students to transfer from one member school to another without delay in eligibility to participate.
