HB625

Louisiana HB625 requires peer-to-peer car sharing programs to maintain physical damage coverage for shared vehicles during the car sharing period.

Louisiana HB625 amends existing law to require peer-to-peer car sharing programs to maintain physical damage coverage for shared vehicles during the car sharing period. The policy must cover collision and comprehensive losses, and can include a deductible up to $1,000 per occurrence and subrogation rights against a tortfeasor. This applies when the shared vehicle owner’s policy excludes or does not provide such coverage.
