Removes the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education from the definition of party primary office.
Louisiana HB529 amends the definition of "party primary office" to exclude the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Previously, this board was included in the definition, making it subject to party primary elections. The bill retains the inclusion of other offices such as U.S. Congress members, supreme court justices, and the Public Service Commission. This change affects the scope of party primary elections in Louisiana.
