Authorizes utility terrain vehicles to travel on the shoulder of certain roadways in Golden Meadow

Louisiana HB503 amends state law to allow the governing authority of Golden Meadow to authorize utility terrain vehicles, in addition to golf carts and low-speed vehicles, to operate on the shoulders of public roads and streets with a speed limit of 30 mph or less, excluding Louisiana Highway 3235. Utility terrain vehicles must meet specific width and weight requirements and must be registered with the governing authority. The governing authority may establish a registration fee for these vehicles, which must be deposited into the Golden Meadow municipal general fund.
