HB486 creates the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) to allow licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology and temporary in-person, face-to-face services across state lines. The compact requires psychologists to hold an active E.Passport for telepsychology and an active Interjurisdictional Practice Certificate (IPC) for temporary in-person practice. It subjects psychologists to the scope of practice and laws of the receiving or distant state. The compact allows receiving and distant states to limit or revoke a psychologist’s practice privileges within their jurisdiction.
