Complete·6/23/26

Louisiana HB481 sets maximum rates for publishing official proceedings and public notices by parish and municipal governing authorities and school.

Louisiana HB481 amends existing law to require parish and municipal governing authorities and school boards to publish their official proceedings and public notices by contract. It increases the maximum rates based on price per character. For parishes without a city with a population over 100,000, the rate is one and one-half cents per character. For parishes with such a city, the rate is two cents per character. Payment may be made monthly or quarterly.
