Louisiana HB409 amends existing law to extend the deadline for filing actions related to sexual abuse of a minor. Previously, the deadline was June 14, 2027, but this bill extends it to June 14, 2029. This change allows individuals whose causes of action were previously barred by liberative prescription to file actions under R.S. 9:2800.9 within the new timeframe.
