HB365 shifts authority over school bus operator discipline from the school board to the superintendent during the probationary term.
HB365 amends the probationary term rules for school bus operators in Louisiana. It retains the three-year probationary period but transfers the authority to discipline, dismiss, or discharge operators from the school board to the superintendent. The superintendent must provide written reasons for any dismissal or discharge. This change applies to operators convicted of or pleading nolo contendere to certain offenses, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
