HB347

Increases the annual sales limit for low-risk, homemade foods exempt from food safety laws to $100,000.

Louisiana HB347 modifies the annual sales limit for producers of low-risk, homemade foods sold to the public. Currently, these producers are exempt from food safety and sanitary requirements if their annual sales are under $30,000. The bill raises this exemption limit to $100,000, allowing more producers to benefit from the exemption. This change affects small food producers who sell homemade foods directly to the public.
